Currently, CASCO insurance for motorcycles is not offered on the platform, as most insurance companies in Lithuania are cautious about concluding a CASCO contract for motorcycles.

When is motorcycle insurance mandatory?

Motorcycle Third Party Liability Insurance (MTPL) is mandatory for all registered motorcycles that are used on public roads. Even if you only ride during the season, the insurance must be valid during that period.

When is the best time to take out a motorcycle insurance contract?

We recommend taking out insurance in advance, before the driving season begins. This ensures that you will be able to hit the road at any time if the weather conditions change, as the insurance will already be valid.

What insurance period should I choose?

On the “Man Ramu” platform, you can insure your motorcycle for a period of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Most motorcyclists choose seasonal insurance, but it is advisable to choose a 12-month policy – its price is not much different from 6-month insurance, and you don’t have to worry about the insurance ending unexpectedly.

Do I need to purchase an additional Green card?

No. When purchasing insurance through the “Man ramu” platform, the green card is granted automatically – without additional fees.

Is it possible to purchase motorcycle CASCO insurance?

Unfortunately, CASCO insurance for motorcycles is currently not offered on the “Man Ramu” insurance platform.

My son (daughter) will also use my motorcycle. What should I do?

When concluding the contract, you must indicate the age of the youngest driver and his driving experience. Although compulsory insurance is valid regardless of who drives the motorcycle, the insurer, having paid compensation to the victim, may demand reimbursement of the payment or part of it if the driver group was not properly indicated when concluding the contract.

Can I purchase motorcycle insurance for a short period of time?

Yes. The shortest period possible is 1 month. On the “Man ramu” platform, you can choose a period of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. This is especially convenient if you plan to use the motorcycle only for part of the season.

Can I purchase insurance if my motorcycle does not have a valid MOT?

Insurance is available, but operating a motorcycle on public roads without a valid technical inspection is prohibited. The insurance contract would be valid in this case, but in the event of a traffic accident, the insurer may require you to reimburse the insurance benefits paid to the victims.
